How to see the length of a YouTube playlist
YouTube tells you how many videos are in a playlist, but not how long it takes to watch them all. The quickest way to find or check the length of a YouTube playlist is to let a calculator add up every video for you. It takes a few seconds on a computer or a phone.
How to check playlist length on YouTube (computer)
- Open the playlist on YouTube. The address bar shows a link containing
list=. - Copy that link.

For a short playlist you can add up the times shown on each thumbnail. Convert everything to minutes, add them, then divide by 60 for hours. For anything longer than a dozen videos, a calculator is faster and avoids mistakes.

Does YouTube show the total length of a playlist?
Not as a single total. The playlist page shows how many videos there are and each video’s length, but you would have to add them up yourself.
