I build PlaylistTime: free tools that tell you how long a YouTube playlist, a channel, a course or a book will take, and tools that help YouTube creators understand their channels.
Why I built PlaylistTime
I was getting distracted on YouTube. This calculator helped me concentrate on my playlist, and it also helped me complete things on time.
After testing out a lot of websites, I found what is needed by people and what is not, and built around this. So every tool here starts empty, answers one question clearly, and shows where its numbers come from.
What I build here
- YouTube playlist length calculator
- Channel length calculator
- Watch time calculator
- Study planner
- Timestamp link generator
- Upload time checker
- YouTube creator tools
- Audiobook calculator
- Reading time calculator
I also write the PlaylistTime guides. The newest:
- How to finish a YouTube playlist or course on time
- How long are YouTube courses?
- How to stay focused on YouTube while studying
- Watching YouTube at 2x speed: is it good for learning?
How the numbers are made
- YouTube lengths, dates, views and channel details are read live from the official YouTube Data API. Nothing is guessed or scraped.
- Every rate, limit and rule on a tool page (earnings ranges, Partner Program thresholds, Shorts rules, upload sizes) links to the source it came from, with the date it was checked.
- Original data, like the study of 37 YouTube course playlists, is published with its date and a CSV download.
- Where something cannot be known from outside a channel, the tool says so instead of showing a made-up number.
